Characteristics of the vertical axis metal centrifugal pumps.
This series of machines was designed to handle clean liquid, soiled liquid or liquid with specific materials, even chemically aggressive. With this solution, the hydraulic part is submerged and the motor part is outside of the liquid placed on a frame.
The easy maintenance and long life of the electric motor allows for extremely reduced down times and operating costs compared with a submersible or submerged pump solution.
These series have the pumping part under the head and this allows them to operate a significantly higher temperatures than the respective external horizontal solutions installed on top of the tanks.
Compared to the modest 40°C conceded as standard for submersible and submerged pumps, these solutions allow 80°C to be exceeded in view of the liquid vapour pressure and the actual positive head in the tank.
The mechanical parts have been designed and made to provide absolute reliability over time.

Vertical axis pumps for dirty liquids

FV Series
Centrifugal pump with hydraulics suitable for handling soiled, waste or muddy liquids, even corrosive and containing course solids. Depending on the sizes, vortex, open or wide free passage impellers are available. Hydraulics derived from the F series.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Maximum flow rate up to 600 m3/h.
  • Maximum head up to 70 m.
  • Delivery ports up to DN 200 spacing up to 4 metres.
  • Electric Motors with 2, 4 or 6 poles.

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS
Hydraulic in Cast iron, Bronze, AISI 316, Duplex. Guide and delivery pipes in Carbon steel, AISI 316, Duplex; seal by means of splash guard flange with angus ring in double lip Viton. The bushings are in AISI 316, Bronze or PTFE coated fibreglass and can be flushed as desired by means of the pumped liquid (API PLAN 11) or with externally sourced water that mixes with the handled fluid should it be particularly loaded or abrasive. Lantern bracket fitting to the electric motor in cast iron with grease-lubricated thrust bearing sized for particularly severe and continuous work. Coupling to the electric motor in B5/V1 form is by means of a torsional elastic fitting.

FMV monoblock solution
This solution differs from the previous one because of the coupling system between pump and IEC standardised motor that is achieved by means of a rigid fitting, as well as the absence of the support with its own bearing. This solution is therefore more compact and economic.
Spacing up to 1.25 metres.
Maximum transmittable power 22 kW.

Transfer of soiled, waste and faecal water, seawater with sand; mud, corrosive liquids containing abrasive particles and coarse solids.

CSV Series
Centrifugal pump with hydraulics suitable for treating clean, even corrosive liquids, but not containing solid particles. Hydraulics derived from the CS series. The impellers are the closed type.
